Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Mixed Reality (MR) Game Developer based in Bruges. The Senior MR Game Developer will design and implement core gameplay systems, MR interactions, and game features from concept to release. Daily tasks include programming new features, optimizing performance for MR platforms, collaborating with designers and artists, and reviewing code to maintain quality and scalability. The role also involves prototyping MR experiences, integrating hardware and SDKs, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and mentoring other developers to ensure consistent standards and effective workflows. We work with the Quest 3 and Unity.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Game Programming and Gameplay Programming.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), preferably in C# or C++ for Unity.
- Capabilities in Game Design, including translating design concepts into functional, balanced, and enjoyable MR gameplay.
- Experience with mixed reality, networking, multi-player, spatial anchors, occlusion, co-location,...
- Solid understanding of performance optimization, debugging, and profiling in game development contexts.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, communicate clearly, and provide technical leadership and mentoring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
