We are seeking an experienced Freelance Transformation Director to lead a large-scale transformation programme within a complex operational environment.
This is a strategic leadership role for a seasoned executive who can drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, align business and technology priorities, and engage effectively with executive stakeholders to deliver sustainable organisational change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive a major transformation programme from strategy through execution.
- Define programme objectives, roadmaps, priorities, and success criteria.
- Oversee multiple workstreams and interdependent projects.
- Ensure strong governance, risk management, and delivery oversight.
- Align business and technology initiatives to achieve strategic objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and facilitate decision-making at senior level.
- Drive organisational change and stakeholder engagement across the business.
- Monitor programme performance, budgets, timelines, and key milestones.
Required Experience
- Minimum 20 years of experience in programme leadership, business transformation, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Proven track record leading complex transformation programmes in large organisations.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strong exposure to both business and technology transformation.
- Experience working closely with Executive Committees, Boards, C-level executives, and senior leadership teams.
- Experience within highly regulated or public-sector environments is considered an advantage.
- Mandatory: Minimum 10 years of experience within a public transport organisation. Candidates should have a strong understanding of public transport operations, including operational planning, service delivery, maintenance, and asset management.
- Fluent Dutch (mandatory) and professional English.
