We are seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to support a large enterprise client in strengthening its security team, managing cyber risks, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security best practices. The consultant will work closely with IT, business stakeholders, and project teams to provide security expertise across a range of initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Act as the go-to expert for Information Security, Compliance, and Governance activities.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Conduct compliance reviews, control assessments, and drive remediation activities to closure.
- Plan and perform internal audits, tracking findings and corrective actions through to resolution.
- Lead security risk assessments and compliance evaluations across business and technology functions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance information security policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Provide guidance on regulatory and cybersecurity requirements, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Good experience within Information Security, GRC, Risk Management, Compliance, or IT Audit.
- Proven experience implementing, maintaining, or auditing ISO-based management systems.
- Strong understanding of ISO 27001, ISMS governance, and control frameworks.
- Knowledge of NIS2, cybersecurity governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience assessing and managing third-party and supplier security risks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluent in English and either Dutch or French (both would be advantageous).
