POLITICO is looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our pioneering and growing media company. With your experience in recruitment, you won't be afraid to take on challenging roles or explore new candidate markets. As a member of our European Talent Acquisition team and the wider Global HR Department, you have a central role in the company. You are passionate about people and dedicated to contributing to a great candidate and co-worker experience by means of an excellent recruitment process.

You act as an ambassador for POLITICO's culture and values and enjoy working with strategic and operational tasks in our fast-moving environment.

  • Create an outstanding candidate experience from initial contact to job offer and onboarding
  • Partner with managers and editors to gain understanding of our open or future needs in terms of recruitment
  • Utilize social media, networking and direct recruiting techniques to identify, attract, and engage qualified candidates
  • Communicate effectively and proactively throughout the recruiting process
  • Build and maintain manageable talent pools
  • Actively participate in job fairs and recruiting events when relevant
  • Work with the Director, Talent Acquisition to identify process improvements and new ways of working
  • Screen, interview and prepare candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline
  • Participate in other HR projects as needed

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology or other relevant field
  • At least 4 years of relevant recruitment experience and 7 years of relevant total work experience
  • A full life-cycle recruitment experience, agency or in-house, and if you have ‘European bubble' or media industry experience that would be an advantage (but is not essential). Any similar experience will be considered
  • Language skills:
    • Fluent English, written and spoken, required
    • Professional proficiency in French, preferred
    • Professional proficiency in German, an asset
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Strong people skills, a professional attitude and can liaise with people at all levels
  • Flexible mindset, ability to work efficiently in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment
  • Strong sense of discretion
  • A genuine interest in working in a highly international environment
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to a dynamic environment
  • Comfort with technology and web-based tools
  • A sense of humor
