Our client is an international advisory and communications group in Brussels.They support organisations across a wide range of sectors, including corporate, institutional and public affairs. Operating in a highly international environment, the group advises clients on strategic communication, reputation management and complex stakeholder matters.To strengthen its internal finance function, the organisation is looking to internalise its accounting activities by recruiting an Accountant to work closely with senior management.This is a broad, hands-on accounting position within a fast-paced and demanding environment. You will manage the accounting activities end-to-end and act as a trusted financial partner to management. The role requires autonomy, agility and the ability to anticipate needs in a dynamic organisation.You will report directly to senior leadership and work in close collaboration with external financial partners. Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily accounting operations (AP/AR, payments, journal entries)Ensure accurate monthly management accounts and year-end closingsMonitor cash flow and financial performancePrepare financial reports and support internal decision-makingContribute to budgeting and forecasting processesEnsure compliance with local accounting standards and audit requirementsCoordinate with external partners for audit and selected finance activitiesDrive efficiency and automation of accounting processesDegree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent through experienceSolid experience covering the full accounting cycle in an autonomous roleComfortable working in an international and English-speaking environmentHands-on, pragmatic and solution-orientedAble to prioritise effectively in a fast-changing contextConfident communicating with non-financial stakeholdersProactive mindset, able to challenge and anticipate rather than simply executeLanguages & SystemsEnglish is mandatory (working language)French or Dutch is required at a professional levelGood digital literacy; experience with accounting tools and automation projects is an assetPermanent position within a highly international and stimulating organisationCompetitive salary package aligned with experienceComprehensive insurance coverage and additional benefitsFlexible working hours and progressive hybrid working modelOpportunity to build and structure the internal accounting functionExposure to senior decision-making and operational complexity Literacy, Solution Oriented, Practicality, Audit Requirements, Audit, Prioritize Workload, Decision Making, Automation project, Asset, Finance, Stakeholders, Senior Leadership, Financial reporting, Year End Close, Accounting, Pragmatism, Prioritize Workload, Coordination, Fast Pace, Payments, Partner Management, Self-confidence, Agility, Cash flow, Proactivity, A&R, Auditing Standards, Communication, Journal Entries, End to End, Automation
