Our client is an international advisory and communications group in Brussels. They support organisations across a wide range of sectors, including corporate, institutional and public affairs. Operating in a highly international environment, the group advises clients on strategic communication, reputation management and complex stakeholder matters. To strengthen its internal finance function, the organisation is looking to internalise its accounting activities by recruiting an Accountant to work closely with senior management. This is a broad, hands-on accounting position within a fast-paced and demanding environment. You will manage the accounting activities end-to-end and act as a trusted financial partner to management. The role requires autonomy, agility and the ability to anticipate needs in a dynamic organisation. You will report directly to senior leadership and work in close collaboration with external financial partners. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations (AP/AR, payments, journal entries) Ensure accurate monthly management accounts and year-end closings Monitor cash flow and financial performance Prepare financial reports and support internal decision-making Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and audit requirements Coordinate with external partners for audit and selected finance activities Drive efficiency and automation of accounting processes Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent through experience Solid experience covering the full accounting cycle in an autonomous role Comfortable working in an international and English-speaking environment Hands-on, pragmatic and solution-oriented Able to prioritise effectively in a fast-changing context Confident communicating with non-financial stakeholders Proactive mindset, able to challenge and anticipate rather than simply execute Languages & Systems English is mandatory (working language) French or Dutch is required at a professional level Good digital literacy; experience with accounting tools and automation projects is an asset Permanent position within a highly international and stimulating organisation Competitive salary package aligned with experience Comprehensive insurance coverage and additional benefits Flexible working hours and progressive hybrid working model Opportunity to build and structure the internal accounting function Exposure to senior decision-making and operational complexity Literacy, Solution Oriented, Practicality, Audit Requirements, Audit, Prioritize Workload, Decision Making, Automation project, Asset, Finance, Stakeholders, Senior Leadership, Financial reporting, Year End Close, Accounting, Pragmatism, Prioritize Workload, Coordination, Fast Pace, Payments, Partner Management, Self-confidence, Agility, Cash flow, Proactivity, A&R, Auditing Standards, Communication, Journal Entries, End to End, AutomationJBRP1_BE
