Parkwind is an independent green energy company that develops, finances, and operates offshore wind farms. With more than a decade of experience and 771 MW under operational management in the Belgian North Sea, Parkwind is currently expanding internationally and has an active development pipeline of 4.5GW (net) across a number of European and other markets where it is working with a number of credible partners. Parkwind is also constructing the 257MW Arcadis Ost 1 project in Germany which expected to reach full operation in 2024. Committed to making green energy available and affordable for everyone through its unique approach covering the entire value chain of offshore wind, Parkwind has established itself as a reliable and competitive partner to communities, governments and suppliers globally. Composed of over 130 professionals operating in Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Greece, Australia and New Zealand. As of July 26th, 2023 Parkwind operates as part of JERA Co., Inc.
In light of its further international business expansion, Parkwind is looking to enlarge its Controlling team with a Project Controller.
- Finance responsible for complex and large capex projects (+ 500 MEUR) in development or construction phase;
- Work in very close cooperation with the project director;
- Coordinate the entire financial process, in close cooperation with the colleagues of project finance and accounting & tax, to bring the project to FID (Final Investment Decision) and project completion (end of construction phase);
- Lead the entire budgeting, forecasting & reporting process over the development & construction lifetime and monitor the actual spendings;
- Monitor the manpower planning of the project
- Responsible for monthly financial reports and presentations towards different stakeholders (management team, board of directors, banks, shareholders, internal departments);
- Responsible for the cash management of the project(s);
- Have a good understanding of the development & construction process of a large capex project (financial, technical, contractual, interfaces, risks);
- Have a good understanding of project finance within a large capex project;
- Responsible for the analytical masterdata of the project(s) reporting in SAP;
- Conduct one-off or regular financial & investment analyses on more specific and complex financial aspects; By doing so, you will identify and mitigate potential financial risk areas, in cooperation with the relevant departments.
- Participate and contribute to continuously improving reporting, controlling and planning processes.
Profile:
- You obtained a master's degree in finance;
- You have at least 7 years' experience and 3 years' experience in a similar role. Experience from the on- & offshore wind sector or the oil & gas sector is a plus.
- You have a good ability to understand the complex financial & technical business and its interactions;
- You have in-depth knowledge of analytical and accounting concepts, and you are familiar with SAP and reporting systems;
- You are an advanced user of MS Office and you have an interest in financial modelling;
- You are organized enough to be able to track multiple projects and perform several tasks at the same time;
- You are accurate and have strong analytical skills;
- You have strong social and communicative skills and can work both in team as autonomous;
- You speak and write fluently English and Dutch.
