We are looking for a Shift Leader Bio Pilot Plant who is passionate about innovation, dedicated to quality, and ready to take on new challenges to join our team in Biologics Product Manufacturing at our UCB campus located in Braine lâAlleud, Belgium.

 

About the role

You will be at the heart of UCB's burgeoning transition from new biologic products pipeline to commercialization. You will actively contribute to ensuring the manufacturing activities of biologic products while working with a diverse and committed team, ready to learn.

 

Who you'll work with

You'll be part of a dynamic team consisting of operators, technicians, process assistants, and coordinators, all committed to achieving operational excellence.

 

What you'll do

  • You will manage and lead a team of operators, actively supporting them on the ground.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring the team's performance using predefined indicators and priorities.
  • You will oversee the team's performance review process, fostering a culture of open communication and feedback.
  • You will contribute to the manufacturing of biologic products, using cell culture or protein purification equipment.
  • You will be familiar with all production specifics and ensure compliance with GMP and HSE standards.
  • You will organize and lead informal meetings with the team and generate detailed reports.

 

Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role in the biopharmaceutical field.
  • Knowledge of GMP standards.
  • Leadership, organizational, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in French (oral and written) and intermediate knowledge of English.
  • Great flexibility and ability to adapt to a non-routine and challenging environment.
