Within the Finance department, the Accounting & Reporting team is responsible for the production, control, and analysis of internal and external financial reports, covering both the solo and consolidated perimeter under IFRS and/or Belgian GAAP. This also includes liquidity and solvency reporting, as well as the financial and analytical accounting for various entities. As a Seasoned Finance Expert, you will play a crucial role in these processes, collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including senior management and external regulators.

As part of the Accounting & Reporting (A&R) team, you will contribute to the financial reporting processes and deliverables:

  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret key financial performance indicators such as profitability, solvency, balance sheet, and liquidity for relevant entities
  • Contribute to the production of quarterly analytical reports, comparing financial performance and indicators against previous years and budgets
  • Track developments in IFRS and Belgian GAAP accounting standards, and draft implementation guidance
  • Participate in projects related to the application of new accounting standards and provide ad-hoc advice on the accounting treatment of new products and one-off transactions
  • Keep the Finance community and stakeholders informed of updates in accounting standards through newsletters, presentations, and training sessions
  • Organize and conduct training on IFRS and Belgian GAAP for the Finance community
  • Prepare representation in relevant accounting committees and monitor changes in the regulatory framework concerning prudential norms (CRD and CRR) and resolution norms (BRRD)
  • Support the production of multi-year capital planning (budget) and provide recommendations for capital management actions

    • Good knowledge of Dutch and French, excellent command of English
    • University degree at the Masterâs level in business engineering, economics, mathematics, or equivalent by experience
    • IFRS expertise is required
    • Telework: 50% on-site and 50% remote work, with exceptions during project delivery and onboarding
    • At least 10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting
    • Expertise in IFRS and financial and prudential reporting
    • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CRD, CRR, BRRD)
