3D Design Professional This role is for a skilled 3D designer who can lead the design of high, medium, and low voltage substations. You will create and develop 3D and 2D designs for various projects and collaborate on conceptual design phases. You work within a multi-disciplinary project team focusing on the design aspects of high, medium, and low voltage systems. You manage the design process from initial concept to final delivery ensuring integration and quality of all design elements. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership: Lead the conceptual and detailed design of high, medium, and low voltage substations ensuring compliance with industry standards specifications and client requirements. Assume a hands-on attitude by taking on some 3D design work allowing understanding of skills needed difficulties involved and pros or cons of software in use. Design Review Process: Establish and maintain a robust design review process that ensures all design work is critically evaluated under four-eyes principle before submission promoting accuracy and quality. Template and Library Development: Define a strategic plan for developing design templates libraries and knowledge bases to standardize design processes promote best practices and enhance overall efficiency within the design office. Outsourced Work Coordination: When applicable coordinate and review the work of external engineering service providers and suppliers ensuring timely and quality delivery of outsourced design scope. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures throughout the design process to minimize errors and enhance reliability of design outputs. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the design office driving advancements that enhance design effectiveness and efficiency. See opportunities for developing standards improving efficiencies and defining training needs. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all designs comply with relevant regulations standards and company policies and maintain thorough documentation for all design activities.
