Do you want to turn challenges into opportunities and explore new horizons? Interested in becoming our new Project Finance Manager for one of our Offshore and/or Dredging projects?

DEME is a global solutions provider in a challenging and rapidly changing world and a world leader in the highly specialized fields of dredging and land reclamation, solutions for the offshore energy market, environmental and infra marine works.

Our expertise and vast experience has been deployed over the centuries for Dredging, Environmental and Marine Engineering business solutions such as port construction and improving maritime access worldwide. We have been creating land for 140 years and will continue to do so in the future.

Therefore we are looking for motivated candidates to reinforce our Finance department on sites.

Your Responsibilities
  1. You will be responsible for the coordination, management, and follow-up on all financial aspects of the project(s) you will be assigned to, such as ensuring timely and sound execution of accounting and reporting of financial project results, budget control, analytical accounting using and maintaining standardized structures & procedures, identifying potential financial risk areas and supporting the implementation of risk mitigating activities, taxes, etc.
  2. You will coordinate and follow up on all project administration, planning, on-site logistics, staff support, and general administration.
  3. You will provide advice towards Project Management and other departments ensuring up-to-date knowledge of financial & fiscal laws and contractual requirements.
  4. You will keep contact with clients, local authorities, (sub)contractors, and other specific partners.
  5. You will report to an Area/Business Controller (from our head office in Belgium) and to the Project Manager.
Your Profile
  1. You achieved a master's degree in applied economics, accountancy, or finance.
  2. You are able to express yourself fluently in English and Dutch. The knowledge of other languages is an asset.
  3. You have at least 10 years of experience in a financial or audit position, of which 5 years of experience in project work.
  4. You have the right leadership skills and have some proven experience in this domain.
  5. You can work independently.
  6. You have advanced skills in Excel.
  7. You make decisions easily and take the initiative in finding solutions.
  8. You are prepared to work from our Project Offices in the Benelux and/or on expatriate basis (with attractive work/leave schedule) on overseas project sites or in one of our regional offices abroad for extended periods of time.
