Information Technology System Engineer

General MissionThe team is currently looking for a highly motivated IT system EngineerYou will work alongside with a team of developers and engineers in close collaboration with our Head of IT and our Head of QARA.Your primary focus will be the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both Windows and Linux operating systems. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions.You will ensure that our solution (NeuroClues) is safe, effective, and compliant with medical device standards.Main responsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems on desktops and servers.Provide support for software installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, and anti-spam.Monitor system performance and carry out system tuning to ensure optimal operations. Implement and maintain system security and data backup/recovery strategies.Provide technical support and guidance to users with a high degree of customer service.Document system configurations, changes, and problem resolutions.Stay current with system information, changes, and updates relevant to our user environment.Participate in the research and recommendation of innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.DevOps expertise on servers. Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldor at least 5 years relevant experience in the field.Technical Skills:Proven experience managing Windows and Linux environments, including Fedora, Ubuntu, CentOS, or RedHat.Familiarity with desktop and server hardware, software, and networking systems.Knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues.Advanced knowledge of patch management and software distribution.Knowledge of JumpCloud and IT Automation platform like Ansible would be a plus.Ability to script in Bash, PowerShell, or other languages is a plus.Analytical and Critical Thinking:Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Communication and Collaboration:Strong documentation skills to maintain ISO 27001 certification.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Other:Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or CompTIA Linux+ are advantageous.Knowledge about ISO 62304 standard about medical device software life cycle processes in a plusYou are :Pragmatic in your actions, hands-on, willing to go beyond the design of the product and to handle a large action scope (design, prototype, test, validation and production)Care for internal and external customer as well as for our patients with excellent interpersonal communication skillsTrusted by your team to be a solution finder, autonomous, able to propose collaborative solutions and to identify priorities.
