Overview The role is responsible for centralising, standardising and safeguarding industrial know-how across the group. This includes sharing and documenting expertise on core processes, ensuring best practices are consistently applied at all sites, and securing continuity of knowledge through standards, training and documentation, regardless of staff movements. Proven technologies and practices are integrated into all engineering and investment projects in close collaboration with factory management and local teams. The objective is to deliver optimal technical solutions that support solid business cases while driving consistency across sites. Responsibilities The function plays a key role in optimising sourcing, operational and maintenance costs. This involves coordinating group-wide initiatives to improve technical maintenance costs and purchasing conditions, defining group project contract standards, supporting annual budget preparation, and evaluating all equipment investments upwards of €250k. Together with the group engineering team, the role actively participates in negotiations for multi-site capex projects and building investments. Industrial performance is continuously analysed based on productivity, cost, organisation and sustainability. The role defines, benchmarks and monitors KPIs related to efficiency, energy consumption and product quality, and supports operational excellence through the progressive development of Continuous Improvement Systems, including training, coaching and communication. The position initiates, designs and coordinates optimisation, innovation and expansion projects in cooperation with local teams, R&D and external suppliers. It ensures thorough business analysis, project planning, budget control and follow-up of realised savings. Throughout all project phases, strict compliance with safety and SHINE (hygienic design) standards is ensured. Finally, the role leads and develops a team of Project Engineers and an R&D Engineer, promotes continuous learning, stays up to date with technological developments, and integrates sustainability and safety as guiding principles in all activities.
