Hiring a Front-End Software Engineer – AI & Voice TechnologyWe’re looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to help build the interfaces of the OS of care.You’ll work on voice-first, AI-powered applications deployed across web, mobile and real-world devices, with high ownership and close collaboration with the founding team.The impact is direct, the problems are hard, and the product is already used on the field.At Kando, we build the OS of care.The missing layer that connects people, places of life and care systems.Our technology is already deployed on the field and used daily by hundreds of users across Belgium and France.And we’re just getting started.The RoleWe’re looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to help design and build the interfaces of the OS of care.You’ll work on voice-first, AI-powered applications deployed across web, mobile and real-world devices (TVs, boxes, smartphone, telephony,..).The product is already in production. The impact is direct. The problems are hard and deeply human.What you'll doDesign and build Kando’s user-facing interfaces (Web, Mobile, TV)Create voice-first user experiences (real-time audio, visualizations)Handle complex state management (async events, WebSockets, streaming)Optimize performance (smooth animations, 60 fps, constrained devices)Contribute to our mobile-first roadmap (Flutter)Help build and maintain a shared design systemDevelop internal tools (dashboards, business metrics)The stackFrontend: React, React Native, TypeScript, FlutterBackend: Python (FastAPI), Rust (Axum)AI: PyTorch, HuggingFaceMessaging: WebSockets, AMQP, HTTPInfra: GitLab CI/CD, Docker, ScalewayWho you are2–5 years of professional software engineering experienceStrong proficiency in React & TypeScriptHigh attention to UX, accessibility and simplicityYou write tests (unit, end-to-end) as part of your workflowComfortable with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practicesEmpathetic mindset — building for seniors requires care and precisionBonus: Flutter, backend (Python/Rust), WebSockets, audio or voice AI experience.Environment & conditionsFull-time position (CDI equivalent)Based in Charleroi, with hybrid remote workAttractive compensation package4- or 5-day work week, at your choiceHealth insurance (Alan), mobility budget, meal vouchersMacBook Pro, high-quality equipment, modern tools20 days of paid leave + 1 week off between Christmas and New YearWhy Kando ?A strong societal missionA team deeply rooted in real care environmentsAmbitious tech, already deployed on the fieldHigh ownership and real impact👉 Want to help shape the future of care?Get in touch: jobs@kando.careMore info: https://kandocare.notion.site/Join-Kando-2ec9df7e975a81908795c2999553f1b0
