Freelance Senior Financial Controller Introduction Are you a hands-on finance professional with a strong track record in month-end closings, high-quality reporting, and continuous process improvement? For a client based in Brussels City Centre, we are looking for a Financial Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial closing and reporting, while acting as a key finance partner toward regional management. You'll work in an international environment with reporting under BE GAAP and US GAAP, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders. Job description Your responsibilities include: Ensuring correct and timely monthly and annual closings, including key reconciliations and financial reporting under BE GAAP and US GAAP Supervising accounting activities performed by the SSC, acting as the first point of contact for questions, deviations, and follow-up Coordinating internal and external audits (statutory and US GAAP) and maintaining relationships with external advisors and auditors Ensuring compliance with local and global requirements and maintaining strong internal control measures Performing analysis of results, P&L and balance sheet positions, and presenting clear explanations to regional finance management Supporting VAT, corporate tax and transfer pricing filings Actively contributing to process improvement and system optimization within SAP S/4HANA Profile Solid experience in financial controlling, accounting, and closing activities Strong understanding of BE GAAP and US GAAP reporting requirements Experienced in working with SSCs and driving quality/accuracy Comfortable coordinating with auditors and external stakeholders Analytical, structured, and proactive mindset, with strong communication skills Practical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is an asset Offer Location: Brussels City Centre (50% remote work possible) Start date: ASAP Competitive daily rate
