He/She will be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality software is delivered on time and within budget, and aligned with business objectives (Scope). Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, managing agile development processes, implementing with Technical Manager DevOps practices, ensuring quality assurance, and managing stakeholder and vendors relationships. Which are your responsibilities? Strategic Leadership: Aligning the IT delivery roadmap with the organization's strategic goals and contributing to the overall IT strategy. Team Leadership & Development: Building and leading high-performing, cross-functional delivery teams, mentoring staff, and managing performance and talent development. Process Management: Overseeing with Scrum master and Product owner, agile development cycles (Scrum), backlogs, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Functional management: Supervising, in collaboration with the Product Owner, the management of the various products and solutions. Quality Assurance: Ensuring with Scrum master code quality, maintaining high test coverage, and promoting best practices in code reviews. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating with IT technical Manager, Head of digital, technical challenges, risks, and obstacles that could hinder delivery. Stakeholder Communication: Acting as a key liaison between IT development teams, product management, business, vendors and other stakeholders. Release Management: Coordinating with Scrum master deployments, versioning, and the entire release management process to ensure smooth delivery into production. Budget and Resource Management: Overseeing IT project budgets, forecasting, and ensuring teams are appropriately resourced. What are your skills and experiences? Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams, making sound decisions, and fostering a positive engineering culture. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps), cloud technologies (AWS), and CI/CD pipelines. Functional Skills: Understanding of the P&C insurance industry and the Guidewire and NCMS technical product. Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership in F/E, NL is a plus. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical and project-related issues. Project Management: Experience with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and budget control.
