For an industrial customer in Ghent, I am searching for a freelance Project Coordinator with technical hands-on experience designing HVAC systems or automation knowledge to support activities for a pharmaceutical client. You will act as a bridge between different contractors, internal departments, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution while ensuring strict adherence to procedures and industry standards. The project team will be working on topics around automation, mechanical, electrical, piping and HVAC to control monitoring systems in cleanroom/laboratory environments. Responsibilities Coordinate multidisciplinary projects with a focus on HVAC system design and installation in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment Design, review, and validate systems to meet facility requirements, energy efficiency targets, and regulatory guidelines Serve as the liaison between internal departments and external contractors to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are met within the agreed scope, time, and budget Ensure all activities comply with GMP guidelines, internal procedures, and documentation standards Facilitate meetings, track action items, and follow up on deliverables with relevant stakeholders Identify risks or issues early and propose mitigative actions Support the preparation and review of technical documentation, test protocols, and validation procedures Provide clear and structured reporting to project managers and client representatives Profile Bachelors or masters degree in industrial engineering in Automation, Electromechanics, Mechanical, Building Services or a related technical field 2–5 years of experience in project coordination Technical experience designing HVAC (air conditioning) systems is an advantage VCA safety certification – if you do not have one, the customer will require you to sit the exam being going onsite Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector is a bonus Knowledge of GMP regulations (or industries with strict regulations) and validation processes is an asset Strong communication and organizational skills Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment Additional Details SENIORITY: Medior/Senior START DATE: February/March DURATION: 12 Months EXTENSION: Yes CONTRACT: Freelance LOCATION: Ghent ONSITE POLICY: 1 day homeworking maximum HOURS PER WEEK: 40 LANGUAGES: Fluent English and at least B2 Dutch (fluent Dutch is preferred) INTERVIEW PROCESS: 1 stage EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: PPE CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: VCA If you are interested, please forward your updated resume to jay.kukoyi@vividresourcing.com to be considered.
