Job Description - Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe IT infrastructure of CLIENT is partially outsourced to an external IT service provider that does the setup and day-to-day management.The CLIENT Internal System Infrastructure team collaborates intensively with this service provider to set up and run this infrastructure and keep it secure.Important note: being a specialist in all solutions is not required as the day-to-day management is outsourced, a generalist mindset to glue all components together is.The infrastructure you will co-manage consists of:Network (firewall, switch, ...)Security components (web application firewall, anti-DDoS, webproxy, ...)Database (SQL Server)StorageServers (Windows and Linux)Cloud infrastructure (Azure)Workstations (Windows)Mobile devices (Apple iOS devices)As a member of a small System Infrastructure team, you are co-responsible for:Help with design and set up new infrastructure or applications in a secure wayCollaborating with the CLIENT applicative IT team, CLIENT business users and external service provider to implement the correct infrastructure for the business requirements and non-functional requirements like high availability and securityThe day-to-day management of applicative issues together with other teams at CLIENT or the service provider in the most secure wayTroubleshooting and technical support in collaboration with colleagues and the service providerThe handling and follow-up of security incidentsThe documentation of information for IT people and end usersProviding the link with the first-level and third-level teamsNext to this team, you will be mainly working closely together with the external service provider, the CLIENT service desk, the PC desk and the larger IT team that manages BI and application development of CLIENT business.Specific skillsAn IT background (and/or education) is mandatorySecurity mindsetInvestigational spirit (information will not always be preprocessed and ready to use)Will to continuously improveDocumentation drafting (in English)Other professional experiences in a similar IT function (server, storage, and network administration) are a plusPractical knowledge ofMicrosoft Windows Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)General IT infrastructureGeneral skillsTeam playerHighly motivatedStrong communication and interpersonal skillsIndependent workingVery well organised and structuredAttention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectivelyBilingual NL/FR and good level of EN (writing)What we offerA genuine collaborative team spiritTraining on the jobPossibility to work with a myriad of different infrastructures and technologiesRoom for initiative50 % telework after an initial training period
