Head of Software

We are looking for a passionate team player with proven experience in leading software engineering and product initiatives at fast-moving, entrepreneurial companies. Twikit is looking for a Head of Software who combines product leadership, solution thinking and hands-on engineering . You will join a vibrant company with an entrepreneurial team that works for global A-brands. Your focus will be on accelerating the transition towards a 3D CPQ product proposition, defining the technical direction of our platform, and coaching a team of multidisciplinary developers. When needed, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and write code yourself. You ensure TwikBot, our 3D configurator and CPQ platform, evolves with a clear architecture, predictable delivery, and high engineering standards. You define how TwikBot interacts with the customer’s digital ecosystem, aligning data flows, integration points, and system boundaries with e-commerce platforms, ERP/CRM systems, and manufacturing processes. You collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer teams to translate customer- and product requirements into clear technical specifications and roadmap items. Together with the leadership team, you turn the company’s strategy and vision to become a leader in 3D CPQ into an action-driven roadmap. Wherever relevant, you tap into the power of AI to enrich the needed product functionalities. You are energized by architecting and guiding impactful software solutions: You understand how to design and challenge scalable architectures and communication patterns. You can structure complex product themes into clear technical specifications and roadmap items. You enjoy defining data flows, API interactions, and system boundaries for complex integration and CPQ scenarios. You lead and mentor a multidisciplinary software development team. You maintain architectural oversight and help the team make sound technical choices. You enjoy building reusable components and frameworks that accelerate development. You balance long-term quality with pragmatic iteration and can explain your reasoning. You value documentation, clarity, and a solution-first mindset. You stay hands-on some of the time to support the team and stay close to the technology. You drive the evolution of our platform and the transition toward an expanded CPQ offering. You proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities early. Skills Technical expertise Your expertise as a technical, solution-driven leader is essential. The specific technical skills mentioned below are a big plus. Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular 2+, Vue, or Ember.js. Experience with serverless architectures. Familiarity with cloud platforms and scalable distributed systems. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of communication patterns in microservices. Experience with testing practices, TDD, and supporting frameworks. Ability to gather and challenge functional requirements and convert them into clear technical designs. Skilled in mapping business goals to architectural decisions and development priorities. Confident in briefing developers, coordinating priorities, and ensuring architectural consistency. Able to identify technical risks, integration complexities, and dependencies early. Strong communicator who can connect technical depth with business context.
