Financial Controller 3PL EU

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations within the BU 3PL EU (Staci Group, Active Ants and Radial Europe) directly supporting/reporting to the Finance Director. This role includes preparing financial reports, performing financial analysis (i.e. profitability, cash-flow), reviewing (organic) investment case, ensuring reliability and quality of the financial data. This role is based in Brussels with travels abroad (US, Europe and Asia).
Your mission:- Support to Finance Director (and CFO 3PL EU) in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts as well as internal reports (Group Controlling & Finance);
- Prepare timely monthly financial reporting;
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting;
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance;
- Support month-end and year-end close processes;
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
We do not only deliver letters and parcels, but also opportunities. This job is open to all with diverse backgrounds and talents, possessing the following skills:
- Proven working experience in Controlling, FP&A, Audit or other (corporate)-finance related functions;
- 5+ years of combined finance and accounting experience;
- CFA, CPA is a plus;
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
- Experience to prepare financial reporting to internal stakeholders;
- Experience with creating financial statements;
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process;
- Self-driven and analytical skills;
- Excellent MS office skills (and in particular Excel);
