Senior Data Engineer – Azure & Databricks (Contract)Brussels (2 days on-site per week)6-month contractLeading Banking ClientWe are currently seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support a sector-leading banking organization on a high-impact data transformation programme. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern, cloud-based data platforms within a complex and regulated Financial Services environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines on Microsoft AzureDevelop and maintain data solutions using Databricks (PySpark / Spark)Work with structured and semi-structured data in enterprise data lake architecturesCollaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver business-critical data productsEnsure data quality, performance, security, and governance standards are metRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Senior Data EngineerStrong hands-on expertise with Azure (ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL)Extensive experience with Databricks and PySparkSolid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data modellingExperience working in Financial Services / Banking environmentsComfortable working in hybrid mode (2 days per week on-site in Brussels)Contract DetailsLocation: Brussels (hybrid – 2 days on-site)Duration: 6 months (extension likely)Start: ASAPRate: Competitive, based on experienceThis is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering enterprise-scale data solutions for a top-tier banking client.
