Desmet is a leading global provider of custom-engineered plants and equipment for the food, feed and biofuels industries. Our reliable and innovative technologies transform oilseeds, grains and tropical oils into protein feed/food, edible oils/fats, oleochemicals and biofuel. As an Financial Planner and Analyst you will support the Group Controller and act as Financial Controller for Global Cost Centres to ensure accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and proactive business partnering. Key Accountabilities Group FP&A Support Consolidate monthly reporting, ensure deadlines and data integrity. Identify and explain variances; perform financial analysis and controls. Support and challenge regional hubs; coordinate with FP&A India. Participate in Group Business Planning process. Global Cost Centre Control Review monthly P&L: allocations, accruals, deferred charges, intercompany recharges. Prepare budgets and forecasts; analyze variances. Collaborate with senior management and global stakeholders. Drive improvements in accounting and reporting processes. Challenges & Opportunities Be the Go-To Business Partner: Act as the first point of contact for local controllers and HQ, supporting business decisions beyond reporting compliance. Champion CPM Transition: Drive the migration from Excel to Anaplan by promoting lean, creative, and simplified solutions. Leverage Exposure for Career Growth: Collaborate with senior management, contribute to strategic decisions, and build a strong foundation for future career opportunities. Qualifications Education: Master's in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Experience: ~5 years in FP&A (modelling, budgeting, forecasting). Technical: Advanced Excel, ERP (D365), CPM (Anaplan), BI tools (Power BI), IFRS/GAAP knowledge. Analytical: Strong variance and scenario analysis skills.
