Bakker & Partners is working exclusively in partnership with Sabena Engineering to recruit an HR Manager International for its global activities. Sabena Engineering is a major European provider of aircraft maintenance (MRO) services, active in both civil and defense sectors. With over 900 professionals across 15 countries, the company combines a proud technical heritage with an ambitious growth and transformation agenda.About the RoleThe HR Manager International plays a strategic role within the International Management Team and within the wider Sabena Engineering HR Department. In essence, the role is to act as the strategic HR-architect for Sabena Engineering International. The person will diagnose the current challenges, design the legal and structural solutions, and build the strategic framework for recruitment and compensation that will allow the business to scale internationally.The HR Manager International will report directly to the Director People & Organization of Sabena Engineering International. Presence is required in the Belgian offices (Brussels region & Charleroi), with frequent (30%) travelling abroad (Germany, Morocco, South-Africa, Turkey, Eastern Europe).Key ResponsibilitiesReviewing and rectifying all current international employment practices to ensure compliance with local social legislation and labor laws (f.e. Luxemburg, Germany).Deep diving into all international employment contracts and setups to ensure they are legally compliant.Getting the legal basics right in order to grow further in close collaboration with operations.Enabling international growth ambitions in terms of workforce aligned with operations.Designing the entire recruitment strategy. This includes deciding which external agencies to partner, developing the employer brand in foreign markets, thinking creatively about where to find talent, among other initiatives.Tackling complex HR topics in Belgium. This involves providing strategic "brain capacity" to help solve issues where the local team is struggling, such as the challenging A400M project. This responsibility is expected to phase out as the international business growsYour ProfileMaster's degree in Law, HR, Economics or related fields.Min. 5 years of experience in international hard HR and recruitmentProven track record in international employment including social legislation, tax treaties, and work permits across different countries.Proven track record in designing recruitment strategies in complex or international contextsExperience as a pro-active business partner: listening, understanding and offering suitable HR-solutions for operations.Experience or affinity for a technical, industrial environment or be genuinely interested in understanding the business in order to align with them.Mentally flexible, driven and agile: it is as highly dynamic business, where plans can change.You are willing to travel min. one week out of three.Fluent in Dutch, French and EnglishWhat Sabena Engineering OffersA strategic, high-impact position at the core of Sabena Engineering's international growth ambitionsEntrepreneurial Environment: The international division is described as a "speedboat" within Sabena Engineering
