Our client Ahooga was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Brussels. Their mission is to accelerate bike adoption for happier cities. The company specializes in compact urban bikes that are easy and fun to ride, with or without electric support. All models are designed in-house in Brussels and manufactured in Belgium. Ahooga’s sales and service channels include a rapidly growing network of over 100 multi-brand dealers across Europe and one own-operated Ahooga store in Brussels. The company has recently launched its flagship product, Max, marking the beginning of its international expansion. Our client has just completed a funding round to support their growth for the coming years. We are currently hiring for the position of: (German) Head of Marketing (m/f/d) Would you like to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced, and diverse team and experience the happy Ahooga vibe? We are seeking a (German) Head of Marketing to support Ahooga’s international expansion. You will lead the marketing team and be responsible for one other person. Fluency in German or native-level proficiency is required. Working from Germany is possible, as Germany is a key market for the company. Key activities of the marketing team include: Developing dealer support tools such as POS materials, training, incentives, and dealer events; Generating consumer test rides at dealerships through organic efforts and targeted online advertising; Creating content around Ahooga’s products, ranging from standard photoshoots to exciting out-of-the-box content like participation in the race around Rwanda; Encouraging third-party reviews by magazines and influencers; Organizing and managing events and fairs for the brand (e.g., Velofollies, Eurobike). The profile We are looking for a candidate who: Has 3-5 years of marketing experience, ideally in the bike sector; Possesses a solid understanding of the German-speaking bike markets and has a network of relevant media, influencers, and trade shows; Has gained some leadership experience; Is fluent in German and proficient in English; Is familiar with standard content creation tools; Has good knowledge of social media and analytics tools. Additionally, we seek someone who: Is driven and capable of operating effectively in an agile environment; Has an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility; Loves cycling and urban living; Can quickly adapt and gain traction in new environments; Is a self-starter willing to get hands dirty.
