We are an early stage startup launched in April 2020, and are now looking for a new family member. Head of Sales? Merchery has grown from zero to €12M in revenue in less than five years. Now, we’re setting our sights higher: €50M in revenue within the next five years. And we know we can achieve this. To reach this ambitious milestone, we’re looking for an experienced Head of Sales—a leader ready to build a strong sales strategy, scale our team and operations, and drive Merchery to the next level. As Head of Sales, your mission in a nutshell will be: Design and execute a world-class sales strategy to fuel growth. Optimize and restructure our sales funnel to maximize efficiency. Coach, mentor, and empower a team of talented, driven professionals. Foster cross-functional collaboration to align sales with our broader vision. Our sales model is anything but conventional. We’ve built a hybrid approach that blends self-service (e-commerce) with assisted and full-service sales. Our deal sizes, sales cycles, and customer profiles vary widely, across Europe and the UK. That makes it a complex organization to handle, which is why we’re looking for a very sharp operator. As Head of Sales, you will: Scale and lead a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Restructure and optimize our sales organization, fine tuning our double funnel approach (hybrid model combining e-commerce and sales-driven strategies). Develop and execute sales strategies that enhance efficiency and drive growth. Coach, mentor, and train the sales team on advanced sales techniques, pipeline management, and negotiation skills. Foster a strong collaboration with the marketing team to ensure a well-balanced division of tasks between sales and marketing efforts. Work closely with the production team to streamline the after-sales process and ensure exceptional customer experience. Establish and refine KPIs, processes, and tools to monitor sales performance and drive continuous improvement. Work on our retention, and making it the cornerstone of our strategy and revenue Explore new ways of acquiring clients through sales: until now, our success has been driven by inbound sales, but we’re ready to build a high-impact outbound engine and culture. Could you be the one? Minimum 5 years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of scaling a sales team and revenue internationally Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing sales teams that exceed revenue goals. Strong sales mindset with a deep passion for driving revenue growth and closing deals. Ability to coach and develop sales professionals on techniques, processes, and best practices. We’re looking for someone sharp, able to build and maintain a complex sales organization. Strategic vision to structure and optimize a high-growth sales organization. Ability to organize and lead a sales team in a dual funnel commercial structure (hybrid model combining e-commerce and sales-driven approaches). Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with marketing and production teams. Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze performance metrics and optimize sales strategies.
