✨ Job Opportunity: Quality Specialist (Flanders Region)Location: Flanders Region (Hybrid possible)Employment: Full-timeLanguages: EnglishSalary: €80,000About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented Food Compliance & Labelling Specialist to support our product portfolio across the Benelux market. In this role, you will ensure that our products meet all relevant legal, regulatory, and customer requirements. You will collaborate closely with our factories, R&D, Quality, and key customers to deliver accurate product information, compliant labels, and strong documentation.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific background who enjoys combining regulatory expertise with practical project management and cross-functional collaboration.Your ResponsibilitiesFood Labelling & ClaimsDevelop, review, and validate food labels in compliance with EU and Belgian legislation.Verify and manage nutrition, health, and marketing claims.Maintain and update customer specification platforms such as Trace One, Wave, GS1, and internal systems.Regulatory & Quality ComplianceMonitor and interpret changes in food regulations, providing guidance to internal teams.Support the implementation and maintenance of HACCP, BRC, and IFS standards.Ensure product documentation is accurate and audit-ready.Project & Stakeholder ManagementLiaise with factories and customers to resolve specification or labelling issues.Lead small cross-functional projects involving R&D, QA, procurement, and commercial teams.Conduct research and prepare regulatory summaries, reports, and improvement proposals.Your ProfileDegree in Bio-Engineering, Food Technology, Food Science, or a related scientific field.Proven knowledge of EU food labelling rules, customer specification platforms, and claims management.Solid understanding of food regulations, HACCP, and BRC/IFS certification schemes.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong analytical mindset, eye for detail, and the ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach to tasks.
