Freelance QA/QC Manager – Food & Beverage (6 months)Location: Belgium (Hybrid/Possible onsite at production facility)Start Date: ASAPContract Length: 6–12 months (extension likely)Rate: Competitive hourly rate (market conform)About the RoleWe're working with a busy FMCG manufacturer seeking a Freelance QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance efforts, drive compliance with food safety regulations, and support continuous improvement across production processes.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and continuously optimize the Quality Management System (QMS) Lead internal and external food safety audits (BRC/IFS/ISO/BRC compliance)Monitor and ensure compliance with food legislation, including traceability and labelingManage non-conformities (NCRs), corrective actions (CAPA), and root cause investigationsCoach and guide QC teams in sampling, testing, and metrology activitiesCollaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain to implement quality improvementsProduce and maintain quality documentation, certifications, and technical dossiersSkills & ProfileDegree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related fieldProven experience in QA/QC roles within food manufacturing/processingStrong analytical mindset with hands-on approach to audits and problem-solvingExcellent communicator: strong Dutch, French, and English skills preferredStructured, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindsetWhat We OfferFlexible freelance engagement: 6–12 months with potential extensionCompetitive hourly rate, aligned with market standardsOpportunity to drive quality improvements at a leading sustainable food brandReady to make an impact?
