About Our Client

Our client is an international company, a leader in its market, that deploys world-class expertise in the formulation, processing, and manufacturing of materials-based solutions to deliver better patient outcomes, protect products, strengthen brands, and promote sustainable business decisions for Healthcare and Consumer markets.

With their key production site in Belgium, they engineer all their client needs to offer the best tailor-made solutions in the market.

To sustain their growth, they are currently looking to extend the sales team with an International Account Manager who will develop existing customer relationships and expand the company's market further.

Job Description

As the successful Sales Account Manager - International - Material Compounds - Packaging, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales and EBITDA growth at or exceeding budget for key customer accounts. Set financial targets and forecasts, analyze, and track performance.
  • Develop and maintain account plans to identify and deliver strategic objectives that enhance the customer relationship.
  • Develop comprehensive, multi-year supply proposals, supported by financial analysis. This includes proactive, financially based recommendations internally for leadership evaluation.
  • Understand the customer, including their strategic plans, business state and gaps, organization, processes, etc., and generate/contribute to the fulfillment of solutions that leverage capabilities.
  • Identify, develop, and win specific business-development opportunities with the customer account, including the ability to develop and present effective customer presentations.
  • Appropriately adopt/apply the Sales Management Operating System (processes, methodology, and systems) to develop plans, manage opportunities, and enhance skills.
  • Develop deep, broad, and long-term relationships within the customer and progressively improve the strength of these relationships through results delivery and partnership behavior.
  • Understand the full range of products and capabilities, as well as the entire supply chain to support product delivery to customers, including understanding competitors' products/services to position our differentiated solutions.
  • Provide feedback to R&D on detailed customer needs to drive new product development and customer-specific projects.
  • Create multi-functional teams from both companies, when required, to drive joint, differentiated solutions to meet customers' needs and profitably grow, including complaint resolution.
  • Negotiate supply contracts, quality agreements, P.O.'s, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Joint Development Agreements, etc., including terms and conditions (T&C's), product specifications, scope of supply requirements, and pricing.
  • Attend trade shows and develop publications with Marketing and GTC to advance industry knowledge and customer knowledge as needed.
  • Other related duties may be assigned.

The Successful Applicant

As the successful Sales Account Manager - International - Material Compounds - Packaging, you will have the following requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or a technical discipline required or equivalent by experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years full-time experience in sales and marketing responsibilities, ideally with experience in packaging.
  • Proven track record of growing sales profitably.
  • Experience in commercializing new products and services preferred.

Skills:

  • Fluent in Dutch, English, French (German: advantage).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of people; analyzing and independently solving a variety of difficult situations and problems.
  • Advanced business, technical, and financial acumen, including pricing and forecasting.
  • Decision-making skills, including the ability to effectively research, plan, and resolve complex situations through multiple scenarios/solutions.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency, including MS Office and database management.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
