As part of our growth, we are strengthening our team and are looking for an Impact Manager eager to actively contribute to the future of affordable housing in Belgium.Vicinity Affordable Housing Fund is a regulated real estate fund in Belgium (GVBF/FIIS).Location Watermael‐Boitsfort, 1170 BrusselsContract type Freelance or employee — full‐time or part‐timeStart date Q1 2026Working arrangements Vicinity operates a hybrid work model, including 1 to 2 days of remote work per week, depending on the needs of the employee and the company.Your missionAs Impact Manager, you play a strategic and dedicated role in strengthening and bringing to life Vicinity's differentiating positioning: financial accessibility, energy efficiency, and mobility. You are responsible for steering Vicinity's ESG trajectory — from action to measurement — and become the company's impact ambassador. You translate commitments into evidence, indicators, and visible initiatives.Your responsibilities Positioning & differentiation· Objectify, define, and update Vicinity's value proposition and strategic narrative centred on financial accessibility, energy efficiency, and mobility.· Define, plan, and monitor a variety of impact‐related projects; coordinate internal and external stakeholders; and ensure coherence across all external communications. Impact & ESG· Lead the B Corp recertification process: compliance, action plan, documentation, audits, and continuous improvement.· Establish and update the carbon footprint and other impact indicators.· Create and monitor a comprehensive ESG roadmap: building energy and consumption data, objectives, reduction pathways, and concrete initiatives.· Formalise and structure ESG data to meet SFDR requirements, VSME reporting, and any extra‐financial reporting requested by fund investors.· Conduct regulatory and market monitoring (ESG/real estate) to anticipate developments and support external communication content. Analysis & reporting· Work with analytical tools (Excel, indicators, dashboards) to measure and interpret data.· Produce clear and structured reports (impact report, annual report, ESG reporting). Communication & awareness· Manage LinkedIn publications (planning and writing) and external impact‐related content.· Design compelling visual materials such as presentations for investors and partners.· Regularly update the website to ensure accurate and up‐to‐date information.· Occasionally coordinate press communications related to our mission and impact. Internal collaboration· Work closely with the Executive Committee and all departments (Property Management, Investments, Commercialisation, Finance, etc.) on cross‐functional projects.· Facilitate information flow and ensure internal alignment around impact and positioning topics.Your profileEducation & experience Master's degree or equivalent, with a strong analytical component (economics, engineering, management sciences, data, environment, political sciences, ...). Minimum 5 years of experience, including experience or strong interest in impact and ESG. Experience in project management and roadmap follow‐up. Ideally, experience in investment funds and their regulations; otherwise, the ability to quickly grasp legal and regulatory aspects and act accordingly. Assets: experience in the real estate sector and/or knowledge of B Corp certification and carbon accounting (not mandatory).Technical skills Strong analytical skills: excellent command of Excel, ability to interpret complex data, build relevant indicators, and translate analyses into operational recommendations and accessible content. Excellent writing skills: ability to craft clear, impactful messages tailored to different audiences (investors, partners, press, social media). Strong visual storytelling skills: ability to turn complex data into attractive and convincing materials (presentations, reports, web content). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Knowledge of ESG topics and related regulations.Personal skills Creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas to support Vicinity's growth and positioning. Strong team spirit and ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Influential leadership: an assertive and engaged personality capable of defending ideas diplomatically and driving topics forward.
