This is your chance to get hands-on experience in live deals across technology M&A, growth fundraising, and direct investing, working closely with senior professionals in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. About Us Capital Connection is a technology-focused M&A and corporate finance boutique with mandates across Europe. We advise high-growth companies on M&A, partnerships, capital raises and exits – and invest directly through our investment arm, Shyft, which acquires and scales service businesses using AI. Think of us as part-advisory, part-investor – and 100% focused on supporting technology founders and management teams to maximise value creation through smart dealmaking and growth. What You'll Work On You'll be involved across the full deal lifecycle – from sourcing to execution – with real exposure from day one: Investment Analysis: Screen and analyse live M&A and investment opportunities, from Data companies to SaaS and satellite technology. Outreach & Origination: Drive sourcing campaigns, build founder relationships, and manage CRM follow-ups. Financial Modelling: Build operating models, LBOs, and deal structures. Due Diligence & Execution: Prepare internal memos, valuation materials, and investor presentations. Market Research: Deep-dive into industries, competitors, and investment themes. Portfolio Support: Contribute to value creation projects in our Shyft portfolio. Ideal Candidates We are looking for master students or recent graduates with a strong interest in M&A, technology, and entrepreneurship: Studying or holding a degree in business, finance, economics, law, political sciences or engineering Great communication skills & ability to work together Knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint (or the google equivalents) and prior financial modelling experience is an asset but not a prerequisite Signs of academic excellence - or excellence shown in other fields Ideally you have done prior internships in related fields, including IB, PE, VC, or strategy Fluent in English – complemented with another European language Sharp thinker, proactive team player, driven & hungry to learn EU citizenship is preferred (for logistics) The Offer Duration: 3-6 months (full-time), with potential for ongoing collaboration for top performers Location: Hybrid (Ghent based), with flexibility for remote work Compensation: Competitive Start date: Rolling applications – we are flexible for the right candidate Our Commitment We are building something different at Capital Connection.
