Mantell Associates is partnered with a rapidly expanding global CDMO specialising in drug substance and drug product services across small molecules and biologics. They are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO).Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will define and execute financial strategy, drive sustainable growth, and strengthen financial operations in support of global expansion. This role offers a rare opportunity to influence high-impact decisions and help scale a market-leading organisation within the life sciences manufacturing sector.CFO - Responsibilities:Lead all aspects of financial management, including financial planning & analysis, accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reportingDefine and implement financial strategy to support ambitious growth targets, optimise capital structure, and enhance profitabilityPartner with executive leadership on strategic planning, business development, investments, pricing strategy, and risk managementOversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring across multiple legal entities and international operationsDrive financial systems and process improvements to ensure robust controls, scalable operations, and compliance with local and international regulatory requirementsProvide financial leadership in M&A activities, joint ventures, and strategic partnershipsBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance organisationCFO - Requirements:Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) highly preferredProven track record as a CFO or senior finance leader, ideally within CDMO, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, or related industrial sectorsStrong strategic mindset with experience scaling finance functions through periods of growth and transformationDeep understanding of global financial reporting, compliance, risk management, and multi-jurisdictional operationsExperience with ERP implementations, financial modelling, and capital markets engagement advantageousExceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence executive and board-level decisionsFluent in English; proficiency in French and/or Dutch is a plusMantell Associates is a specialist Pharmaceutical and Life Science headhunting firm.
