Information Systems Architect (ISA) x2 – Brussels 1. Nature of the main tasks Architecture and design of information systems Review of the architecture of existing systems Design and development of component architecture and building blocks Analysis of the integration of different information systems Data analysis and data modelling Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers Production of software architecture documents Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting Design, modify and test technical architecture Build and integrate information systems to meet the organisation needs Provide supervision and guidance to development teams Continually research the current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed Inform various stakeholders about any issues with the current technical solutions being implemented Assess the business impact that certain technical choices may have Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs and budgets 2. Knowledge and competances Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns Good knowledge of microservices Good knowledge of applications design Good knowledge of modelling tools Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Good knowledge of Relational DBMS Good knowledge of business process analysis Knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus, event architecture Strong organisational and leadership skills Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication Ability to give technical presentations Ability to apply high quality standards 3. Certification and Standards N/A 4. Service Delivery The services will be carried out on a full-time basis at the Commission’s premises in Brussels (on site / Hybrid mode).Equipment will be provided by the Commission. #J-18808-Ljbffr
