Position OverviewThe successful candidate will join TE Connectivity's Global Government Affairs Team in Brussels and support the shaping of EMEA policies through strategic partnerships with government and industry groups aligning with business objectives.
The Senior Manager serves as the company liaison and interacts with EU and national government officials to advance the company priorities. They prepare policy briefings, policy analysis, provide guidance, recommendations to the business, and drive active company participation in government forums and industry groups to advance TE business in the areas of automotive, energy, industrial, aerospace, amongst others.
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesJoining a global team of Government and Public Affairs management professionals, you will aim at being a business enabler in supporting TE Connectivity internal customers in strategic European, Middle East, and African countries with a focus on Germany and Central & Eastern policy initiatives to help deliver on TE business growth objectives in the region.
Your areas of responsibility will include:
- Analyzing policies affecting all Business Units and segment affecting TE bottom lines.
- Proactively identifying policy initiatives, regulatory trends, and emerging policy risks.
- Supporting the translation and monetizing policy trends into business opportunities (electrification, mobility, etc.).
- Shaping and implementing public policy advocacy plans to advance TE's agenda with decision-makers at EU and national levels.
- Engaging with Government stakeholders in key markets TE Connectivity serves (Central & Eastern European, Germany, and North Africa).
- Supporting strategic corporate responsibility programs and community engagement.
- 8-10 years of professional experience in government affairs and public policies in a company, consultancy, or trade association.
- University/Master's degree preferably in European studies, law, business administration, public administration, or politics.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German; other EU languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and operational capabilities.
- Experience in technology/industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent understanding of EU and Member States decision-making processes.
- Good understanding of geopolitics, EU industrial policy priorities, and implementation processes.
- Ability to work in multi-cultural and complex cross-functional environments.
- Strong sense of integrity, values, and ethics.
- Readiness for 20% travel across the region.
