BEDRIJF: Je komt terecht in een internationale Data-as-a-Service scale-up die wereldwijd hoogwaardige geografische datasets bouwt en onderhoudt. Wat vijftien jaar geleden begon als een technisch passieproject, groeide uit tot een winstgevende organisatie actief in uiteenlopende sectoren en use cases. Je voelt hier de wendbaarheid van een start-up, gecombineerd met de stabiliteit en volwassenheid van een bedrijf dat bewust en duurzaam groeit. Geen investeerders, wel duidelijke processen, een schaalbaar recurring model en een team dat in enkele jaren tijd verviervoudigd is. Het kloppende hart is het data team: die een product bouwen dat wereldwijd wordt gebruikt voor validatie, risicoanalyse en logistieke optimalisatie. De ambitie: de omslag maken van ambachtelijk naar professioneel excelleren. En daar kom jij in beeld. JOBOMSCHRIJVING: Als Head of Data Engineering neem jij de leiding over het volledige data team. Jij verbindt strategie met uitvoering en zorgt ervoor dat de data-organisatie evolueert naar een schaalbaar, kwaliteitsgedreven en future-proof niveau. Je hoeft niet zelf te coderen, maar je begrijpt de technologie diepgaand. Je weet hoe data-ingestie werkt, hoe moderne data-architecturen zijn opgebouwd en hoe je CI/CD-processen en orkestratietools gebruikt om stabiliteit en snelheid te maximaliseren. Wat jij doet: Je leidt en coacht een team van tien data-experten via 1:1's, stand-ups en groeigesprekken. Je installeert sterke processen voor kwaliteit, testing, documentatie en ownership. Je vertaalt klantbehoeften naar duidelijke requirements in samenwerking met product en customer success. Je analyseert technische uitdagingen, schrijft design documents en definieert best practices. Je werkt nauw samen met het leadership team om de volledige data-architectuur klaar te maken voor de volgende groeifase. Waar je impact voelt: Onder jouw leiding groeit het team in maturiteit, consistentie en technisch vakmanschap. Je creëert een omgeving waar kwaliteit ingebouwd is in elk proces, waar verantwoordelijkheid duidelijk is en waar het team begrijpt hoe hun werk elke dag impact heeft. PROFIEL: Je het minimaal 3 jaar ervaring als people manager. Je hebt een achtergrond in data-architectuur. Je hebt ervaring in het optimaliseren van processen. Je bent nauwkeurig en analytisch ingesteld. Je bent ondernemend en gedreven. Je bent vloeiend in het Engels. AANBOD: Dit is geen klassieke Head of Data Engineering rol. Dit is een once-in-a-lifetime opportuniteit om een internationaal data-product — gebruikt door duizenden systemen — structureel vorm te geven.
