Product Manager Role

The Product Manager is responsible for managing the flagship portfolio of Destiny, Unified Communications as a Service or UCaaS. The challenge will be to further develop and improve the customer journey related to the UCaaS portfolio to better meet customers’ needs and to set the vision towards a state-of-the-art cloud-based Unified Communications platform with advanced collaboration features such as chat and video and omnichannel contact center solutions with the ability to integrate with different applications such as CRM, ticketing systems, etc.

As ‘general manager’ for the UCaaS portfolio, the Product Manager will have control over pricing, offer design, feature development, marketing, and partner relationships.

Main Tasks
  1. Keep up to date with market trends and build a long-term product vision based on customer needs, competitive analysis, and overall Destiny strategy.
  2. Develop value propositions, thereby positioning the different options.
  3. Define and optimize the customer journey, reviewing existing customer perception, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary processes and tools to enhance customer satisfaction.
  4. Define the business requirements of feature enhancements and follow up on their implementation.
  5. Handle operational product activities such as pricing updates based on benchmarking.
  6. Keep Product & Service documentation and marketing materials up to date.
  7. Follow up on the evolution of the hardware portfolio (fixed phones, DECT, and headsets), interacting with various vendors to keep the portfolio competitive as part of the overall UCaaS solutions.
  8. Monitor performance (KPIs against actuals) of the portfolio.
  9. Conduct analyses as a basis for new product/service development (benchmark, market analysis).
  10. Present results and recommendations (business case) up to and including final validation.
  11. Create business requirements and work closely with partners/vendors and internal teams to guide product development on all dimensions including content, timing, quality.
  12. Responsible for GTM readiness, including sales enablement and business development support.
  13. Maintain contact with customers to stay updated on their needs and expectations.
  14. Be the guru in the field of UCaaS services from business and high-level technical points of view.
Customer-facing & Supplier/Partner-facing
  1. Support the salesforce from a product and services perspective, and present products and services to customers.
  2. Evangelize product vision and value propositions to customers and suppliers/partners.
What we're looking for in you...

The ideal candidate has the following profile:

  1. At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in product management or presales within the ICT or telecom sector.
  2. Strong affinity with technology and a very good understanding of telecom technologies.
  3. Experience with either Fixed Voice, UC, or Mobile (Voice/Data) services.
  4. Experience in analytical product management methodologies such as business cases, process development.
  5. Very good level of Dutch, French, and English.
  6. Excellent knowledge of MS Windows Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

The successful candidate should be:

  1. Analytical with a helicopter vision to keep an overview of the portfolio and its positioning.
  2. Customer-focused with care for the customer journey, actively listening to various parties and taking responsibility for customer issues.
  3. A strong communicator, both oral and written, with presentation and influencing skills (storytelling).
  4. Possessing interpersonal skills to develop solid relationships and collaborate well with people from various backgrounds.
  5. Autonomous, self-motivated, engaged, and organized, ready to take ownership, set priorities, work towards deliverables, and achieve results.
  6. Energetic, enthusiastic, and curious, taking initiatives, identifying opportunities, proposing out-of-the-box solutions, and being flexible in quickly adapting to change.
