Technical Advisor Poultry – Belgium Market Location: Brussels, Belgium Job Description We are recruiting a Technical Advisor Poultry focused on the Belgium poultry market. Purpose of the role Reporting to the VSL Lead, you will provide technical support to veterinary practices, rearing companies, hatcheries and poultry farmers to manage complex respiratory and intestinal disorders in the poultry chain, as well as farm management, dynamic immunity disorders and food safety. You will be the first point of contact for all clients in Belgium, offering tailored solutions and collaborating with the Commercial Poultry Team on services, audit tools and data processing systems. Responsibilities Own and develop relationships with strategic customers. Lead planning, execution and delivery of complex technical initiatives. Ensure cross‑functional alignment and measurable outcomes. Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to identify opportunities and co‑develop solutions. Serve as the technical voice in Marketing Strategy and customer engagements. Provide support and ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance requirements. Partner with the poultry team to provide technical input for service development and data processing systems. Apply company procedures and BENELUX legislation in communications with customers. Maintain up‑to‑date information in the customer database. Educate the Poultry Team and present information to stakeholders. Oversee or conduct local medical or research studies as needed. Control technical information, write scientific articles for local press, and interact with international poultry veterinary associations and experts. Your profile University degree in veterinary medicine (preferably PhD or relevant species specialization). High level of project management skills. Ability to analyse complex situations, anticipate, align actions and make data‑informed decisions. Satisfactory practical experience in veterinary practice of relevant species or in a scientific organization / technical services. High level of diplomacy, negotiating skills and constructive assertiveness. High level of presentation and scientific writing skills. High level of knowledge of markets and products. Ability to travel. Dutch and English in excellent written and verbal command.
