Location: Ghent Belgium Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Freelance Contract length: 2 yearsAbout the RoleAs a Data Quality Analyst, you will play a key role in the transition from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA within our logistics processes for cars, motorcycles, and power products. You will work closely with business stakeholders, the IT department, and the implementation partner to ensure data quality, build automated validation tools, and support the upskilling of our stakeholders by expanding their knowledge throughout the transformation.Main ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed root-cause analyses to identify the drivers of poor data quality across our application landscapeDocument findings and quantify the business impact of data quality issues and cleansing activities; collaborate closely with business stakeholders to derive concrete improvement actionsAnalyze relevant datasets to answer specific business questions or address operational challengesPerform data profiling on critical datasets to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and redundanciesDevelop tools to automate data quality checks within the transformation projectDrive cross-functional alignment by working with Data Stewards, Business Owners, and IT leaders to establish a unified approach to data quality (rules, standards, KPIs)Create dashboards and reports to continuously monitor the health of our data assetsSupport business teams in improving data creation and maintenance processes to foster a proactive prevention mindsetCapabilitiesStrong analytical skills and the ability to investigate and interpret complex datasetsContinuous improvement mindset: curious, persistent, and proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance data practicesStrong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiencesQualificationsMaster's degree in Applied Computer Science, Business Engineering, or Data ScienceSolid understanding of data governance principlesProven professional experience (3+ years) as a Data AnalystHands-on experience with SAP modules MM, SD, EWMStrong proficiency in SQL for data queryingExperience with visualization tools such as Power BI for creating dashboards and reportsExperience with data science tools such as Python is a plus
