This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to make a real impact in a non-profit based in Brussels. Open to part-time candidates, this role combines strategic budgeting, analytical oversight, and donor-funded project support in a dynamic, collaborative environment, offering both responsibility and purpose for an experienced finance professional. Your responsibilities as a Financial Controller :Develop and refine annual and multi-year operating and capital budgets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal and external requirementsCoordinate with managers across departments to consolidate budget inputs, validate cost estimates, and support clear, transparent financial planningMonitor expenditures and analyze variances to identify risks, trends, or potential overruns, providing forecasts and recommending corrective actions when neededProduce concise financial analyses and reports for leadership and stakeholders, translating complex data into clear insights for decision-makingAdvise executives on resource allocation, cost-saving opportunities, and funding strategiesLead the preparation of grant and proposal budgets, aligning operational needs with donor requirements and ensuring full integration with internal financial system About you :You bring solid experience in financial management, ideally including work with non-profit or NGO budgetsYou have a background in preparing donor-funded proposal budgetsYou work independently while coordinating smoothly with various stakeholdersYou are highly proficient in Excel and familiar with financial systems; ERP experience is a plusYou speak English fluently; French is an advantage The offer :Permanent position based in Brussels, full-time or part-time, with flexibility and at least three days per week on sitePlanned start date in January 2026Competitive salary and benefits aligned with experienceAn inclusive environment committed to equal opportunities Take the next step in your career as a Financial Controller and help drive financial excellence in a purpose-driven non-profit.
