Freelance Business Analyst – Retail Transformation (6 Months)Location: Near Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid possible) Start Date: Jan/Feb Duration: 6 months (possible extension) Rate: Market conformAbout the ClientOur client is a fast-growing retail brand expanding its omnichannel presence across Belgium and neighboring markets. They are investing in digital transformation, optimization and customer experience initiatives to support rapid growth.Role OverviewAs a Freelance Business Analyst, you will bridge business needs and technical delivery teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and implemented for key transformation projects. You'll work closely with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT to streamline processes and enhance system capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements Gathering: Conduct workshops with stakeholders to capture business needs for CRM enhancements, POS integration and e-commerce workflows.Process Mapping: Document current and future state processes (such as Order-to-Cash, Inventory, Returns).Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between business requirements and system functionality.User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Translate requirements into actionable deliverables for development teams.Some Testing Support: Coordinate UAT, prepare test scripts, and validate deliverables.Exposure to change Management: Support training and communication for impacted teams.Skills & ExperienceSolid overall experience as a mid to senior level Business Analyst in retail or similar environments.Familiarity with POS systems, e-commerce platforms and inventory management.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.What We Offer:Competitive hourly rate (market conform).
