Cloud Platform Architect – Kubernetes

This role provides the opportunity to work on significant projects within the cloud architecture domain, making real-world impacts on enterprise operations. Your role: You act as Application Owner for Kubernetes-based platforms and workloads across public cloud and on-prem environments, taking full accountability for the application lifecycle from design to decommissioning. You translate business and IT strategy into secure, scalable cloud architectures in close collaboration with technical architects and platform teams. You define, maintain, and enforce cloud architecture standards, reusable building blocks, and reference patterns. You continuously optimize the Kubernetes platform for performance, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency. You conduct feasibility studies and impact analyses to assess architectural, operational, and financial implications of platform changes. You embed cost awareness into all architectural decisions by applying FinOps principles across cloud and hybrid environments. You provide architectural oversight to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements. You mentor engineers and architects, promote best practices, and support knowledge sharing across teams. You review and validate technical deliverables from external partners to ensure quality and architectural compliance. What are we looking for? You have at least 5 years of demonstrable experience as a Cloud Architect on Microsoft Azure in production environments. You have at least 5 years of hands‑on experience with Kubernetes in production, covering both platform and workload concerns. You have experience architecting and operating hybrid environments spanning public cloud and on‑prem infrastructure. You have proven experience defining and enforcing architecture standards and governance frameworks in enterprise contexts. You have strong experience with Infrastructure as Code , preferably using Terraform . You apply FinOps principles to drive cost transparency and sustainable cloud consumption. You have experience conducting feasibility studies and impact analyses for complex infrastructure decisions. You provide technical leadership through mentoring, guidance, and architectural governance. You are fluent in French or Dutch (C1) and have strong proficiency in English (C2) . #J-18808-Ljbffr
