- Organise and control all process-based activities relating to its category(ies) including overall strategies review, pre-qualifications, tender list development, issue of ITT/CFT, analysis of tenders, contract and commercial negotiations and the preparation of contractual documentation up to finalisation.
- Manage a portfolio of contracts by ensuring in particular the respect of the deadlines and the follow-up of the activity to ensure no disruption.
- Liaise closely with the relevant Category Manager to locally deploy Category strategy and comply with Total Group requirements.
- Proactively work with relevant internal technical stakeholders to build and maintain relationships with contractors/suppliers and monitor their performance by participating in contract performance management activities.
- Actively pursue contracting synergy opportunities for all business requirements.
- Actively contribute to the saving program by delivery of cost savings without compromising safety or quality.
- Provide proactive and timely advice and support to internal and external stakeholders in all matters relating to Contracts Management & Procurement, including operating as a ‘Duet’ with the technical counterpart to promote effective contract planning, management and performance.
- Utilise approved standard contract documentation and ensure compliance with standard contracting principles during negotiations.
- Search and utilize market intelligence information and supplier qualifications.
- Analysis and knowledge of internal and external costs and cost structures. Develop cost models and target costs.
- Comply with all applicable Procurement rules, governance, and processes.
- Ensure that contractor/supplier selection is carried out in accordance with Platform requirements and Compliance Programme and that safety and environmental assessments are part of the selection process.
- Mitigate risk through proactive management and negotiation of contractual disputes. Support settlement of claims, in conjunction with senior management and Legal, by proposing strategies and actions and by participating in negotiations.
- Organize Duets Meetings with internal stakeholders to pilot contract renewals & activities.
- Contribute to the process of continuous improvement, including participation in and promotion of Lean initiatives when required and adoption and sharing of best practices.
- Prepare and present (where required) Contracts Committee (CC) presentations.
- Search for creative solutions together with internal customers to lower costs.
- Set a personal example in adherence to TotalEnergies HSE procedures.
- Conversion of order requests into orders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments in a dynamic business environment.
- Capability to operate with a globally distributed network of colleagues to manage relationships and identify opportunities for synergies.
- Ability to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers and other stakeholder representatives to influence decisions or ways of working.
