Senior Network Consultant

You will work as part of a team of consultants based in Zaventem and work for customers who are mainly based in Belgium. Occasional travels abroad could be required depending on the ongoing projects. The scope of the job will include, but will not be limited to, the design, the implementation and the support of Network based solutions. JOB DESCRIPTION Discover and test new solutions, components or features Participate in trainings and obtain the required certifications Build architectures and designs based on the customer requirements Perform audits and suggest improvements Provide technical product presentations and demonstrations Elaborate, implement and maintain customized solutions to meet customers’ needs Provide pre-sales technical support Keep up to date on new technologies, standards and evolutions Perform customer technical product training Resolve incidents and problems raised by the customer and escalate to providers if needed Participate in projects and coordinate activities Document the customer’s infrastructures and the implementation details Knowledge, skills and experience Required Solid working knowledge of Ethernet and network protocols such as TCP/IP, as well as the network core services ( DHCP, IPAM, DNS )High experience in Layer 2 / Layer 3 technologies and with IP routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRPStrong experience in LAN and WLAN implementationsExperience in Intelligent Traffic Management solutionsExperience with Network Access Control solutionsKnowledge of Network Monitoring solutions Desirable Experience with HP, Aruba Networks, Extreme, CiscoSkills in Services Performance Management technologiesKnowledge of Software-defined networking (SDN)Experience with SPB YOUR PROFILE Must have You are able to adapt, you enjoy working as part of a team and you have obvious relational skillsYou have excellent analytical and editorial skills and the ability to assess a situationYou are proactive, independent, accurate and aware of the importance of deadlinesYou have good verbal and written communications skills in Dutch, French and EnglishYou are able to constantly improve your knowledge to meet the industry requirementsYou have good time management skills Nice to have You have recognized professional qualifications and certifications ( HP, Extreme, Cisco, … ) Looking for a partner who guarantees optimal flexibility in meeting your most demanding requirements, and who partners with state of the art vendors in order to ensure continuity and security of your IT infrastructure and systems ?
