We are looking for a Senior Business & Data Analyst for a hybrid position in Brussels.The role requires strong experience in supporting business operations through analytical frameworks, continuous improvement and structured governance. Familiarity with ITSM practices is essential, with a focus on their application in business support areas such as finance, HR, logistics or customer service.Tasks (non-exhaustive list):Collaborate closely with business units and user communities to identify, document and translate real-world needs into clear and implementable IT system requirements, supporting the development of IT specifications, data models, user interfaces and user experiences.Bridge business scenarios with system functionalities, ensuring alignment between policy, legal, business and technical domains, and maintaining efficient communication and coordination across all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Analyse business workflows, service usage and operational data to identify inefficiencies, recommend optimizations, and provide business-relevant insights through dashboards, visualizations, key trends, patterns and risk analysis.Evaluate the performance and quality of business services, define metrics and KPIs, support forecasting, demand planning and capacity management, and contribute to lightweight service governance, including SLAs, OLAs and continuous improvement cycles.Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure services align with expectations and operational goals, presenting findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences and supporting training and knowledge sharing on tools and best practices.Requirements:Mandatory:Bachelor's degree or 3 years of higher education.Ability to translate business problems into data analysis tasks. Experience in high-stakes operationally critical business design where the outcome is on a critical operational path.Experience with business analysis methodologies and process improvement frameworks. Working knowledge of ITSM principles, especially in relation to user support and service performance. Experience in defining and monitoring KPIs and SLAs related to business operations.Familiarity with data governance and data quality management principles. Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks relevant to business operations.Proficiency in data tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, Python/R for analysis).Experience with agile delivery environments and fast-paced transformation projects.5–7 years of experience in business or data analysis, preferably in service-oriented or operationally intensive environments.Desirable:Certifications in business analysis, data analytics, or ITSM.Knowledge of the processes and organization of the trader’s supply chains.Experience in customs related projects.Language:English B2-level (or higher).Location:Brussels, hybrid - 2 days per week on-site.
