Cost Manager Lead – Data Centre ConstructionLocation: Farciennes, BelgiumAre you a senior Cost Manager who knows pre-construction on complex projects inside out and is ready to lead a key account in the data centre space? This is a senior leadership role with a global project and cost management consultancy delivering some of the most technically demanding schemes in Europe.You will take ownership of a flagship client, shape major data centre and life sciences projects from day zero, and build a high performing team around you. If you are looking for real responsibility, trusted relationships and a clear path to grow, keep reading.The opportunityIn this role you will:Act as key account lead for a major client, building relationships based on partnership and trustOversee strategically important data centre and life sciences projects from pre-con through deliveryCreate robust estimates and cost plans for large scale developments, using CostX and databooks with confidenceLead and mentor a sizeable cost management team, setting standards and driving performanceTake the lead on QTO for Cost Plans and BoQs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the portfolioDevelop and implement QA/QC plans and manuals to assure quality across all cost deliverablesWork hands-on with MEP packages, with solid understanding of MEPF worksSupport proposals, bids, and business development, winning repeat work and opening new opportunitiesHandle stakeholders across multiple time zones and functions, from client leadership to project teamsTrain and develop future leaders, lifting capability across the teamWhat you bringYou are a senior cost professional who is comfortable owning the room, the client and the numbers. To be successful you will need: Cost Manager Lead JD15+ years of cost management experience, especially pre-construction, ideally from a consultancy environmentTrack record on large scale construction projects, ideally including data centres and life sciences4+ years working with CostX or similar platforms (PlanSwift, Cubicost, Candy, ZWCAD etc.)Experience leading a business unit or major account, including building teams and developing client relationshipsDegree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or a construction disciplineChartered status (MRICS or equivalent) or actively working towards itStrong commercial awareness and a nose for market opportunityExcellent communication skills in writing and in person, with the ability to explain complex detail clearlyA collaborative leadership style that balances high standards with a sense of openness and funYou must already have the legal right to work in Belgium and be living in, or genuinely prepared to relocate to, Farciennes.Why this role?Joining this consultancy means:Working on cutting edge, innovative projects with global clients in fast growing sectorsA flat, open culture where you are treated with genuine care and respectThe chance to own an account, shape strategy and see the impact of your decisionsReal investment in your career progression, including support with chartership where neededAn inclusive environment that values diversity, accessibility and authenticityInterviews will be conducted either in person in Belgium or virtually with video.
