About the role:
The Cluster IT Manager is part of a Local IT team and it is responsible for the operation of all IT and Communication systems in our Leased and Managed hotels in Belgium and Lille/France.
It is therefore important that the Cluster IT Manager view his/her position in that light and acts as a service function within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execution of established Hotel IT Activities to ensure smooth operation of our hotels.
- Understands the overall objectives and architectural aspects of all IT systems to ensuring that all IT functions and disciplines are controlled, audited ensuring system efficiencies are attained
- Systems administration and operation, including ensuring compliance with Corporate IT policies, ensuring daily operation, periodic preventive maintenance
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders
- Implements IT strategies where objectives are communicated at all levels, the performance of system software and hardware is audited and reported upon to enables strategic business decisions to be made
- Overview and Management of User IT Support ; working with External Partners to ensure quality of all levels of service.
- User accounts maintenance
- Project management
- Training, including new hires, retraining of existing employees and maintenance of IT security awareness training
- Hardware / Software inventory ; adequate documentation maintenance.
- Planning, budgeting, and management consulting under the supervision of the Area IT Director.
- Overall compliance, including for dataprocessing and PCI-DSS standards
- Change Management
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience from similar positions, such as IT management and people management
- Ability to develop working relationships very quickly and gain confidence of business colleagues
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written in both French and English.
- Excellent forward planning and organization skills
- Experience of influencing and coaching people
- Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
- Experience of setting and achieving targets and producing work of high quality to agreed deadlines and budgets
- Able to hold a presentation to a smaller audience, such as the management group, employee groups etc.
- Hospitality, travel or service related industries is a plus
- Ability to travel throughout our hotels is a must
- Work permit to work in Belgium is essential
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Products
- Windows / Office
- Network Infrastructures
- Server and workstation hardware
- Hospitality Guest Facing technologies expertise is a plus
- IT security standards and implementation
- PCI, GDPR
- Project Management skills ideally experience with managing and coordinating projects across several business units, departments and Countries
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships
