Roles & Responsibilities

Join our team as an ESG Data Consultant and drive the transformation towards sustainable business practices. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis and sustainability to help clients integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into their core strategies. You will be pivotal in assisting organizations to measure, report, and optimize their sustainability performance, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and stakeholder expectations. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in data analytics, a passion for sustainability, and a commitment to making a real-society impact.

  • You will analyze, define, implement, and improve Data and AI strategies and processes to deliver solutions that allow doing more with the ever-expanding data assets of our clients.
  • You will support the assessment of organizations concerning their current maturity for what data, analysis, AI, and intelligent automation.
  • You will ensure you understand the market trends and strategic goals impacting our client's organization and embed it into our solutions.
  • You will help define approaches for data transformation projects and participate in their delivery (for instance as a project stream lead or supervisor).
  • You will deliver analytically-informed, issue-based solutions that support our clients in making faster, better, and smarter decisions that are in line with their strategy and regulatory constraints.
  • You will support the effective change in the organization following data-transformations.
  • You will participate in the development and implementation of our Data Strategy & Management capabilities.

Skills & Qualifications

In order to become a successful (Senior) Data Consultant at KPMG, we are looking for fast learners and critical thinkers with a broad view on data to break down the data challenges faced by our clients. Additionally, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • You have gained 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Data Strategy, Data Monetization, Data Management, and Data Governance.
  • You understand how AI & Analytics should be integrated into a broader data strategy, considering data governance and quality prerequisites.
  • You are familiar with change management in data strategy implementation and feel at ease with market trends and technologies related to Data, Analytics, AI, or Intelligent Automation.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements, which directly impact the data needs, is a plus (e.g., GDPR, BCBS239 or AnaCredit in Banking, Solvency II in Insurance, etc).
  • You have experience with project management methodologies & agile delivery approaches.
  • Holding certifications in the Data-sphere is advantageous (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), CIP, CMMI DMM, etc).
  • You are a fluent communicator in Dutch and English (spoken and written), with knowledge of French being an added bonus.
