**OVER DE UGENT**

De Particle and Interfacial Technology Group (PaInT) binnen CAPTURE is op zoek naar een postdoctoraal onderzoeker om de werking van de Leerstoel Industriële en Circulaire Watertechnologie, in samenwerking met Evides Industriewater, te ondersteunen. Deze Leerstoel werd vijf jaar geleden opgestart en wordt nu uitgebreid, met als doel industrieel onderzoek te stimuleren en onze connecties tussen de academische wereld en de industrie uit te breiden.

De Leerstoel faciliteert de transfer van academisch onderzoek naar industrie en de maatschappij. De belangrijkste onderzoeksfocus is een duurzamere industriële waterproductie en managent, vooral door middel van technologische innovaties. De huidige focus ligt op een aantal onderwerpen, namelijk (i) procesintensificatie en selectieve scheiding, (ii) koelwater conditionering en corrosie, (iii) alternatieve waterbronnen en (iv) de duurzaamheid van waterbehandelingstechnologieën. Het doel is om innovaties in de industriële watercyclus te boosten en de industrie voor te bereiden op de toekomst. De bevindingen van de Leerstoel, in combinatie met de samenwerkingen met partners uit de industrie, zou moeten resulteren in economische besparingen, groei en een verhoogde productiviteit bij de eindgebruiker. Communicatie is zeer belangrijk, door het samenbrengen van verschillende stakeholders binnen de watersector, informatie uit te wisselen en actie te coördineren.

Deze Leerstoel valt binnen het grotere geheel van de water pijplijn van het CAPTURE consortium.

Om de praktische relevantie van de Leerstoel uit te breiden, zoeken we een nieuw teamlid, die helpt in het vertalen van industriële problemen in relevantie wetenschappelijke onderzoeksvragen en projecten; en vice versa iemand die het snelle uitrollen van innovatief onderzoek naar de praktijk ondersteunt. Dit zal een constant debat met (nieuwe) stakeholders vereisen.

**JOUW OPDRACHT**
- Je besteedt minimum 70% van je opdracht aan wetenschappelijk onderzoek
- Je werkt samen met de professoren en coördinator van de Leerstoel aan de doelen zoals hier beschreven.
- Je initieert en ondersteunt innovatieve onderzoeksideeën en ontwikkelt en schrijft ze in projectvoorstellen.
- Het vorige bereik je door intensieve interacties en netwerking met (nieuwe) industriële stakeholders.
- Je staat mee in voor de dagelijkse opvolging van huidige projecten, inclusief de ontwikkeling van wetenschappelijke en praktische onderzoekslijnen.
- Je staat mee in voor de praktische, dagelijkse opvolging van huidige en toekomstige doctoraatsstudenten.

**JOUW PROFIEL**
- Je hebt een diploma van Doctor op proefschrift (maximaal 6 jaar geleden, de termijn van 6 jaar wordt bepaald op basis van de datum vermeld op het hierboven gevraagde diploma en de startdatum van de arbeidsovereenkomst) in een vakgebied relevant voor de doelen van de Leerstoel zoals hiervoor beschreven, bij voorkeur met ervaring in waterbehandeling en/of corrosie.
- Je hebt ervaring en een bestaand netwerk in de waterindustrie in Vlaanderen en/of Nederland.
- Je bent vlot in het Engels, kennis van het Nederlands is een grote troef.
- Je bent gemotiveerd, enthousiast en communicatief.
