Key Accountabilities:
Product Development
Ensure the development of new products and concepts, adaptation of existing formulas and creating tailor -made products on customer's demand.
- Lab prototype development
- Trials on pilot line
- Up scaling to industrial production line.
- Startup shelf life tests
- Implement the Group project management tools (SANCOC, cProjects, Go/NoGo, Stage Gate process )
Business development
- Assist sales people on customer visits if technical assistance is required.
- Follow up of first production trials at the customer's production plant.
- Organize product presentation during customer visits.
- Support local R&D teams: assist other production sites and organize seminars of the Puratos University program (in HQ or in the countries).
Operations support
Provide technical support to site operations in Groot-Bijgaarden and Lummen.
- Assure that all newly produced materials follow the Handover procedure.
- Process improvement in the Wet Plant (improving process variability, raw material control procedures).
- Follow up of corrective actions following internal non conformities and/or external non conformities (root cause analysis).
- Validation of new/alternative raw materials with Purchase department.
Managing lab
- Maintenance of the lab equipment and stock on raw materials and finished goods.
- Recruiting and training of new lab technician.
- Daily training and coaching of lab technicians.
Who are we looking for?
- You have a Master's degree in Food Technology, Food science, Chemistry or Biochemistry
- You have minimum 3 years of experience in a similar job.
- You have a good understanding of the market needs with strong international communication and networking skills
- You are able to work in a matrix organization and to create impact in a nonhierarchical setting
- You have a passion for food and handson mentality
- You are fluent in English and in Dutch and/or French
- You are willing to travel up to 20%
- You are located in Groot-Bijgaarden and are willing to work an average of 1 day per week in Lummen
