- What you will doThe Strategic Partnership team is responsible for building and growing relationships with imec's world class partners. The team interacts with our customers to provide deep insights in the imec's innovative technologies to forge strategic partnerships. To continue our growth, we are hiring a Senior Strategic EMEA Partnerships Manager.
Within the Imec organization, the EMEA strategic development team focuses on large, multinational firms (F500-F2000) and aims to drive disruptive semiconductor capabilities in multiple business sectors.
Many societal and macro economic developments of the future will increasingly depend on deep tech innovation, nanotechnology and new digital capabilities driven by new, core hardware developments.
In this respect, imec aims to further strengthen its global leadership position and strengthen our position in Europe with an additional high potential team member.
As a Senior Strategic Partnership Manager, you will be part of the EMEA business team of imec and establish and grow strategic relationships with new and existing clients with emphasis in growing our business.
To be successful, you will:
Drive business activities:
Lead generation:
- Translate technology R&D roadmaps and business strategy into gotomarket with F500-F2000 type of clients (both existing and new).
- Gain access & understand the partner confidential roadmaps to drive initial client engagements towards a common understanding of strategic partnering.
- Engage multilevel with prospective clients (bottomup & CEO downwards) to translate common strategic understanding in qualified leads.
- Drive the technical and business buyin from a Key Account Management point of view.
- Evangelize imec's game changing technological advancements at relevant industry conferences.
- Join networking groups and attend events
- Brainstorming about new initiatives on how to increase imec's visibility within specific strategic industries (e.g. automotive & mobility) and drive new strategic R&D activity
- Brainstorm and drive discovery workshops to qualify opportunities and validate & finetune USP's (with senior & executive management from both sides)
- Navigate partner in imec's organisation (& vice versa).Drive opportunities to internal Gate 0 based on topdown / bottomup buyin at the client
- Support and be the trusted person (SPOC) for the negotiation process by working closely with the partner and imec teams (incl. R&D groups, Business Development, Operations, IP and Legal).
- Convey both internally and to our partners the value of imec's business offering, IP models and pricing strategy.
- Drive the strategic engagement model with executive client management for a FrameWork Agreement (FWA) to enable annual imec multimillion, annual recurring R&D spending for large accounts.
- Support imec business development teams to come to closure on R&D opportunities. Ensure close ongoing executive & senior management alignment between the client and imec. Setup a proper governance for R&D & business steering to this end.
- Nurture and grow relationships with partners. Drive structural client engagements with the aim to deepen and broaden the R&D partnering with up sell, cross sell resulting in multiyear, multimillion annual Euro engagements.
- Nurture relationship (incl. Clevel) from technical, business and industry point of view.
- Run strategic account reviews internally and with the clients to establish long term key account engagement. Evaluate opportunities for partnerships and revenue growth across the entire imec R&D stack and present recommendations to the management team.
- Investigate possibly alternative business models incl. broader partnering, venturing and spinoffs
