Stora Enso's Corporate Affairs team works directly with stakeholders to craft regulatory and public policy that drives this transition through innovation and economic growth.

The key areas we engage on are climate change, biodiversity, and circularity. We also work through relevant national, regional, and international trade associations and membership organisations.

Who are we looking for?


To be successful in this role, you have a relevant university degree in, for instance, political science, law or communications combined with a few years' experience in a public affairs role.

You have worked with the EU Institutions and the EU political system and processes, and feel comfortable navigating in this area.


Your working language will be English, and you should have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.

In addition to your experience, we put high emphasis on your personal qualities.

Since you are following the progress and development of your portfolios, you must be able to learn complex topics quickly and translate these to approachable content, in both verbal and written format.

You can connect and communicate with people in different roles with various backgrounds.

You are willing to adapt to change, flexible in your ways of working, as well as available and able to travel within Europe.


Your tasks will include:

  • Scanning for upcoming policy developments and activities of relevance to Stora Enso and feedback to relevant internal staff.
  • Propose appropriate plan of action to engage in prioritised political processes.
  • Support execution of engagement activities, such as designing contact programmes to develop relationships with key decisionmakers.
  • Prepare high quality position papers, communication materials, policy documents, responses to consultative documents,
  • Review material from and engage in national, European, and international trade organisation meetings and work in addition to other relevant membership organisations.
  • Provide Corporate Affairs support to business divisions; and in particular to the Forest Division under the guidance of the SVP.
  • Prepare background briefings, speaking notes and presentation material for the President and Chief Executive Officer, Forest Division, Country Managers, as well as the Group Leadership Team.
  • Support internal coordination on policy related issues.
